The service

SafeConvert converts files between formats. Most conversions run on your own device; some heavier formats are processed by our conversion worker and returned to you without being retained. We offer the service both as a website and as a REST API.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use SafeConvert to:

• convert, store, or distribute content that is illegal or that you have no right to process;
• infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
• attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the limits of the service or its worker;
• resell or redistribute the API as your own conversion service.

Your files and content

You keep all rights to the files you convert. We claim no ownership over them and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we do not retain them. You are responsible for having the right to convert whatever you submit.

API and plans

API access is subject to the quotas and rate limits of your plan. We may throttle or suspend keys that exceed those limits or that we reasonably believe are being abused. Free-tier limits may change over time; we will give notice of material reductions to paid plans.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will retain access through the end of the paid period. Because the service is delivered immediately and metered, fees already incurred are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Availability and “as is”

We work to keep SafeConvert available and correct, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Conversions of unusual or corrupt files may fail, and the worker may be briefly unavailable during scaling or maintenance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafeConvert and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost data or profits, arising from use of the service. Since we do not retain your files, keep your own originals.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
